Tonight's edition of ECW on Sci-Fi begins with a highlight reel of the ECW Championship Scramble at Unforgiven, and Matt Hardy's ultimate victory.
Pyro explodes all over the stage and Todd Grisham and Matt Striker welcome us to the show.
Matt Hardy opens the broadcast to a huge ovation and a belt free from extenders. In the ring and with a microphone he says that it was his goal to gain the title since coming to the brand in June. He states that it was his destiny, and thanks the fans who have supported him through thick and thin, good and bad, who have always believed in him. He also would like to thank those who never thought that he had what it takes to win such a championship, because it made him work that much harder to prove them wrong. He mentions that it is his goal to become the greatest ECW Champion of all time. Mark Henry's music interrupts Hardy and he makes his way down to the ring with Tony Atlas at his side.
Henry says that the ECW Championship is his, and he demands a rematch. Atlas mentions that if Hardy ever touches him again, there will be a problem between them. Isn't there one already? The World's Strongest Man clocks Matt out of nowhere and takes him down to the canvas. He picks the dazed champion up and charges at him, but Hardy ducks and Henry falls over the top rope to the outside. Matt ducks a clothesline from Tony Atlas and drives him down with a nice Twist of Fate! He picks up his newly won title and celebrates his defense of the ex-champion's assault.
Todd Grisham tells us that tonight's main event is going to be a tag team clash as Matt Hardy will team up with Finlay, to take on Mike Knox and Mark Henry.

A promo airs for next week's Steel Cage match on RAW for the World Heavyweight Championship, as Chris Jericho defends against CM Punk.
Evan Bourne heads to the ring and we cut to last night's RAW where Evan Bourne successfully teamed up with Rey Mysterio to defeat The Miz and Morrison, which prompts John Morrison himself out of the curtain, with The Miz.
The bell rings and the two lock-up, having a nice chain wrestle. Bourne vaults over the top rope to the apron and somersaults over Morrison with a sunset flip, but they roll through. Evan hits a wheel kick to the face of Morrison for a two-count, and follows up with an attempt at a high knee, but he fails. Morrison falls through the ropes and Evan launches himself to the outside with a hurricanrana, toppling his opponent head-over-heels.

As we return we are back in the ring, Evan Bourne hits a high knee, successfully this time. Bourne shoots John Morrison out of the corner and leaps to the second turnbuckle, but The Miz pulls his leg as referee Mike Posey's back is turned. Bourne crashes and burns on his neck. Morrison takes advantage with a grounded chin lock. Evan eventually gets to his feet, but gets stunned by a couple of knee shots. The "Shaman of Sexy" hooks a urinage and twists Bourne into a backbreaker, then follows up with a Russian leg sweep for a two. He locks in another grounded submission hold. The crowd are trying to will the momentum of Air Bourne, and it works. Evan lands some sharp kicks to the legs of Morrison, then throws an elbow and a back kick to the face for a two. Frankensteiner gets a two-count, John barely kicks out. A standing moonsault by the fan-favourite fails as Morrison kicks his midsection in mid-air! With John down, Bourne rallies the fans and climbs to the high-rent district, but The Miz hops onto the ring apron. This turns Evan's attention and he leaps with an axehandle, knocking The Miz off. Morrison takes advantage of the distraction and springboards off the middle rope with the flying kick, connecting with Evan Bourne's face, the impact forces his body to do a full backwards flip rotation and he lands very violently as the back of his head smacks the apron. The heel slides him into the ring for the victory. Bourne looks legitimately injured and the commentators sound genuinely concerned. We see trainers helping Evan to his feet as we cut away.
A video airs showing the events so far of the Mike Knox and Finlay feud.

We are shown a promo advertising replays for Unforgiven.
"The All American American" Jack Swagger makes his way to the ring. He is part of the New Talent Initiative, and makes his ECW debut here tonight. Striker comments that he knows a little about him, and mentions that he is a former amateur wrestler... but does not know anything about his opponent, Josh Daniels. Striker cracks me up. This Jack Swagger is a spitting image of Biff from the Back To The Future films.
The bell rings and this match is not worth talking about. A couple of nice wrestling takedowns and suplexes by Swagger, and he ends an absolute squash with a rather dull Blue Thunder Bomb, incomplete without a revolution.
We cut backstage where Hornswoggle is leading Matt Hardy and Finlay through a corridor. Ricky Ortiz approaches them and offers them a Ricky-O towel. Hornswoggle takes it and stuffs it in his mouth, shakes it a little, then proceeds to swing it around his head and scream. A weird moment.

A promo airs for WrestleMania 25 in Houston, Texas. Tickets go on sale on the 20th of this month.
Mark Henry and Matt Hardy are the legal men as we begin our main event for this week's edition of ECW. The two trade shots and shoves until Matt gets the upper hand. He climbs to the middle rope and dives off, but is caught by Mark Henry who attempts the World's Strongest Slam, but Hardy reverses and lands on his feet, he goes for the Twist of Fate but is lifted high above Henry's head and thrown face-first to the mat.

Back in the ring, Matt Hardy is locked in a rear chin lock as Mike Knox is now the legal man. Hardy escapes and tags in Finlay who, upon entering the ring, is knocked senseless by a thunderous boot to the face. Mark Henry gets tagged into the match and works the dazed Irishman by trying to collapse his head. A quick tag to Knox. He misses a knee drop and Finlay gets the hot tag. Hardy takes down Mike and hits a good-looking moonsault from the top for a two-count that Mark Henry breaks up. Hornswoggle slides into the ring with his mini shillelagh but the referee jumps in his way and stops him from using it on Henry, meanwhile Finlay charges at the World's Strongest Man and smacks him with his own shillelagh. Amidst the chaos, Mike Knox walks right into a Twist of Fate and the referee turns his attention back to the legal men and counts the three.
The new ECW Champion celebrates with Hornswoggle and Finlay as the show comes to a close. We focus on Mark Henry favouring his head after the shillelagh strike, and Mike Knox attend to a bloody gash on the side of his head.
